We are the new private operator of Ontario's 56 Driver
Examination Centres, formerly managed by the Ontario Ministry of
Transportation. Our DriveTest Centre teams are helping maintain Ontario's
road safety record with great customer service, such as
reducing waiting time for a road test appointment and more
convenient operating hours. With streamlined service, you can focus on what's
important: meeting all the requirements to obtain an Ontario driver's licence.

- DriveTest Service Disruption

All Classified tests (except for class F) for Sarnia Driver Examination Centre are conducted at a different location. Applicants are advised to directly contact this DriveTest Centre prior to their road test for directions. Class F, G and M applicants will continue to report to Lambton Mall.

- Please be advised that Low-Speed Vehicles cannot be used for road tests. For more information about LSVs, please visit the Ministry of Transportation’s New and Alternative Vehicles website.
- Thessalon Travel Point has moved to a new address: 226 Main Street, Thessalon Community Hall
- Changes to Ontario's daily driver vehicle inspections took effect in July 2007. These inspections are also known as
"trip inspections", pre-trip inspections and
"circle checks". These changes will affect the controlled class knowledge tests and your controlled class road test for daily driver vehicle inspection.
The pre-trip inspection on your road test is a condensed version of the minimum check required under the law.

The following should only be used as a guide in conjunction with your handbook to help you prepare for your knowledge and road test.
- For Class A road tests on or after June 16,
2008, drivers will be licensed according to the size of
the vehicle used for the test. Drivers who do not bring
a vehicle with; a manual transmission, a fifth wheel
coupling, and a minimum 45 foot trailer with air brakes,
will only be eligible for a restricted Class A licence.
