Our DriveTest Centre teams are helping maintain Ontario's road safety record with great customer service, such as reducing waiting time for a road test appointment and more convenient operating hours. What's New?

  • Blind River Travel Point has moved to a new address:
    1 Mariner Dr, Blind River, ON, P0R 1B0
  • Isle of Man has been added to the list of reciprocating jurisdictions recognized by Ontario effective February 1, 2010. Please refer to the "Exchanging a Reciprocal Licence" page for requirements.
  • Australia has been added to the list of reciprocating jurisdictions recognized by Ontario effective January 25, 2010. Please refer to the "Exchanging a Reciprocal Licence" page for requirements.
  • DriveTest has set up extra travel dates for three northern communities (Chapleau, Thessalon, and Wawa). For specific dates refer to the "Locations" page of our web site.
  • DriveTest Service Disruption
  • Attention all G (highway) road test applicants – Collingwood.
    G (highway) tests will resume effective Feb 10, 2010 but will temporarily cease again in May 2010 due to construction in the area. All affected applicants will be contacted directly by DriveTest staff and alternative dates or locations offered.

Older posts

  • All Classified tests (except for class F) for Sarnia Driver Examination Centre are conducted at a different location. Applicants are advised to directly contact this DriveTest Centre prior to their road test for directions. Class F, G and M applicants will continue to report to Lambton Mall. To contact the Sarnia DriveTest centre, please call 1888-570-6110.
  • Thessalon Travel Point has moved to a new address: 226 Main Street, Thessalon Community Hall.

General Information

Please be advised that Low-Speed Vehicles cannot be used for road tests. For more information about LSVs, please visit the Ministry of Transportation’s "New and Alternative Vehicles website"


Changes to Ontario's daily driver vehicle inspections took effect in July 2007. For more information refer to the "Driver Testing" page of our web site.


For Class A road tests on or after June 16, 2008, drivers will be licensed according to the size of the vehicle used for the test. For more information please visit the "Licence Types" page on our web site.
