Ready for the road - Log BookNew Driver's and Motorcyclist's Log Book
This book will help you get ready for your Level 1 (Class G1/M1) road test. It is a handy place for you and your accompanying drivers to keep track of the skills you have practised and road conditions with which you have become familiar. Using the logbook, you'll be able to see where you need extra practice as you prepare for your road test. How much practice do you need? It's a good idea to aim for at least 2,000 kilometres before your test. Studies show that driving experience makes a big difference in helping new drivers and motorcyclists avoid collisions. This log book is only a guide for practice. It does not replace driver education courses or the Driver's and Motorcycle Driver's Handbooks. Also, it does not cover everything that will be in the Level 1 (Class G1/M1) test. While the conditions for passenger vehicle and motorcycle drivers in Level 1 (Class G1/M1) are different, keeping track of practice in this log will help all new drivers. If you are going to take a driver training program, whether car or motorcycle, it's a good idea to attend soon after receiving your Level 1 (Class G1/M1) permit. This way you learn the right skills early on and make your practice safer.
