Truck Training School Notification: Classified Test Scheduling Arrangements.

The review concluded that it is in the best interests of the truck training schools to continue a system that allows back-to-back booking of tests, but that it should be made available to all schools on a 'first come' basis.

Effective April 9, 2007, a scheduling cost to truck training schools of $15.50 (inclusive of GST) will be applicable to every classified road test booking to cover the costs for this premium service requested by truck training schools. This cost does not apply to the public booking system, which will continue to operate as per current arrangements.

Booking arrangements from this date are:

1. Bookings to be made in writing (fax or in person) to the local DriveTest Centre using the attached form.
2. The Centre will make the bookings based on the details provided.
3. The scheduling cost will be charged to the schools based on the information given.
4. After a booking has been made substitutions will be allowed but will incur an additional booking cost of $15.50.
5. Bookings made and subsequently cancelled by the school or determined to be unacceptable by DriveTest (for example an ineligible applicant) are subject to the scheduling cost.
6. Applicants may still be substituted or have their bookings cancelled without road test fee forfeiture outside of the 48hr limitation period (as at present).
7. The scheduling cost is per test booked, not per column.
8. Invoices for booking costs will be issued to the schools each month for all bookings made in the previous month.
9. Invoice payment method is by cheque payable to 'DriveTest'.
